Nigeria High Commission
Welcome Message...
On behalf of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, (G.C.F.R), and from the office of the Nigeria High Commission, Trinidad and Tobago, I, His Excellency Musa John Jen, do with pleasure, welcome you to our website.
Nigeria is the only African country with a fully fledged diplomatic presence in the Caribbean, established over thirty-eight (38) years ago.
The Nigeria High Commission, Port of Spain, is accredited to this beautiful tropical paradise and twin jewels of the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago, with concurrent accreditation to five other island countries, namely, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana and Suriname. Efforts are underway to cover St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Antigua and Barbuda.
In addition to giving information on the High Commission and its staff, this website also seeks to give general information on Nigeria based on all the frequently asked questions, such as the country‘s various peoples, geography, history, cultures and traditions, politics and economy, trade and investment opportunities.
The Chancery in Port of Spain offers Consular assistance to Nigerian Nationals in our host country of Trinidad & Tobago and our other countries of current accreditation. While we can issue visas, applications for Nigerian passports are however not processed by us but by our Consulate General in New York, USA. The Chancery in Port of Spain serves only as a clearing house for collation and onward transmission of passports. For details on this and the new ECOWAS passports please click on the Consular page of this website.
Once again, I want to thank you for visiting our website.
Enjoy!

H.E. Musa John Jen
